Recently I’ve been enamored with the book Wedding by Barbara Norfleet, an archive of wedding photographs ranging from the late 1800s to the 1970s. I have a thing for old photos anyway, and these particular pictures have all sorts of things that make them extra fascinating. Some of the couples look absolutely depressed together (and maybe they were), some look madly in love, some look lonely, some look lost. I want to know what’s going through everyone’s heads.
